TODAY THE WORDS are TEACHING LIFE. As I was growing up and even after I had several lucrative careers, my Mother would always say to me, “I thought you would be a teacher”. I would ponder her remarks for a few seconds and knew that I did not possess one of the necessary assets a teacher needs to possess….patience. I am a “I want it now” person and even in the diversified careers, I pushed to achieve high levels in a quick time frame due to the lack of patience. Teachers are on a high level of respect from my point of view as I value their ability to retain and relay a lot of information and facts. When a teacher studies the lesson; they can teach. This is the same with life. Lessons are learned from life itself. A person who has lived life to the fullest has had both good and bad experiences or as I like to say, life’s lessons. I read a great message from a person whose thoughts I appreciate say as a comment that the advice she gives; she should take. I thought about that statement and I feel this person is already doing that very thing by sharing lessons of life. It is a great thing to share the lessons we have learned through different experiences. Pastors are such great teachers too. Using the best tools of God’s life guide, they explain and put the gospel into our everyday language and often start the thought pondering process for us. People who do ministering through public venues give us inspirational quotes and words to allow us to use these to handle difficult situations. Sometimes, all it takes is a reminder of something we have already been taught which may have slipped into our deeper memory and that reminder brings that lesson into the forefront of our mind. We then can use it. In writing the blog, it is never meant to seem superior to anyone as the very ideas or lessons of life are originated from a lot of pain, hurt, repentance, and now a lot of joy knowing I had help throughout life and I had the best tour guide, God who sent the information through a lot of great people. A teacher I am not; a great student of life I became through God. Live life, love life; and live life to the fullest and ask God for directions along the way.
DAILY FEATURED BIBLE VERSE:
Titus 2:7-8
Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.
