TODAY THE WORDS are “IS MY BOO BOO BIGGER THAN YOUR BOO BOO?”  I am going to walk down youngsters lane and hopefully take you  with me. I hear references to boo boos by small children and especially our grandchildren. Children’s scratches and cuts are really big events to them and make them come running for attention and love. Tears are usually rolling down their little cheeks and you would think they have mortally injured themselves. We buy pretty band aids which look more like stickers to put on their boo boos and we hug and kiss the boo boos away. Have you ever watched little children on the playground or other places where they play together? Even though they are playing non stop so they cannot be hurting too badly, but they want to compare boo boos with common statements of “My boo boo is bigger than your boo boo.” They compare and it seems like they feel defeated if their boo boo is actually smaller than their friends. How funny does that seem? Does it carry over into our adulthood? The past several weeks I have felt the impact of allergies and it hit me this morning when I saw someone else post their allergy ailments and this message came to me…..Her boo boo was actually bigger than my boo boo and both of our “boo boos” are still so much smaller than people who are facing serious diseases, disabilities, family losses, loss of jobs, loss of homes, loss of life, etc. Some of them are truly troopers and still keep up a strong fighting spirit. Some of the people I know have children or grandchildren who have serious addiction problems and that is a huge boo boo as I know children make bad mistakes, but we have to remind ourselves; no one takes a drug or alcoholic drink to become an addict.  My deeper thought for today….We are all on the playground of life and we are all going to fall down at some point or points in our life. We climb on things we have a higher risk of breaking our body and mind when an accident occurs. My suggestion is for us not to compare our boo boos since God can mend every boo boo we can have. God also has the prettiest band aids to cover and give our boo boos a chance to heal and then when Eternity occurs, our band aids will be removed and beautiful sanctified souls will emerge. If we run to God, show him our boo boos and ask for His Loving Care since He is Our Father; we will share our stories of how we have been “soulfully” healed by the Master Physician. Have a wonderful day on the playground of life. Live life, love life and live life to the fullest and share your “boo boo” story (testimony) with others.
