TODAY THE WORD IS TEARDROPS

TODAY THE WORD IS TEARDROPS. Teardrops, how salty they taste and how they fall when we are saddened. Teardrops can fall because of happiness too. Today’s subject is an emotional one for many people as the mention of tears can bring back memories of losses when we cried. Upon starting of the blog, while writing the topic, I felt the pain of recent losses where I cried and sometimes, without provocation, they will come to my eyes. Our eyes sometimes have water dripping from them which are not “tears” as we think tears since they come from allergies and even though they flow from our eyes, we do not look at them in the same way. The teardrops I am referring to seem to be attached to our hearts and we can’t seem to be in control of them when they start flowing. I have a different take on teardrops and you may or may not have thought of them in this way, but to me, tears are a release of love drops. I have cried in the past, even from anger, and I can tell you are asking, “how is that associated with love?” I think love is a multi-faceted element, of many emotions all jumbled together and we feel different feelings at different times. I have laughed so hard I cried, haven’t you? I have mourned and tears flowed and flowed and I felt they would never stop, haven’t you? Friends and I have discussed that only a good cry can heal the pain when love has gone away; when disappointment has come to roost; when life has dealt a heavy blow; and when loved ones have passed. Now let me backtrack to what I said about  tears being “love drops” and move to the deeper thought……The love drops I refer to are not from us, even though they come from our physical body; they are love drops from God sent through our bodies to let us know we are not alone. God wants to share our joys; laugh with us; and yes, even cry with us. God knows when we lose a loved one we are going to be sad and feel alone and I think tears are God’s way of saying, “See I am here with you!” You may not agree and I am only giving you my thoughts but I think that is why they are salty. Never mind, the scientific explanation; I think they are salty to remind us life is not always sweet. Little reminders in life of Our Higher Power being present even if we haven’t called on Him for comfort are sent. The next time you have a tear drop fall, think about who might be sending a love drop to you and taste the love. Live life, love life, and love life to the fullest by laughing, crying, and loving!
DAILY FEATURED BIBLE VERSE:
Revelation 21:4
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
