TODAY THE WORDS ARE DO WE GIVE UP OR GIVE IN?

TODAY THE WORDS are DO WE GIVE UP OR GIVE IN? When we are faced with objections, do we give up or is it better to give in? When we are up against a wall, are we supposed to try to climb it or do we back track or find a way to go around it. Motivational speakers, writers, and positive thinkers are famous for figuring this out for us and I am usually in the crowd of well wishers, positive thinker as I am, but today I am stepping off the high step and talking real to all of us, including myself. When we feel the air going out of our balloon, when we are down and depressed, and when we feel a problem is bigger than our minds or hearts can handle……what do we do? Do we give up or give in? When we feel we have done all we can do to help a person make decisions to make their lives better and we see them recanting on those decisions, what do we do? When we have exhausted all means for a resolution on a problem and it seems as if it is non negotiable….what do we do? When we want to help, but our help is refused due to pride or stubbornness on the other party’s side, what do we do? It sounds as if I am depressed but I am not; I realize this time of year brings so many people to a state of depression, partly due to loss of loved ones, monetary problems, stress brought on by trying to do too much for too many (this should be a pleasure, but can be stressful on the one giving a lot). Years ago, and even to a degree now, my thoughts of Christmas is trying to bake everyone’s favorite treats and to make our family gathering a wonderful time. I have to say Christmas finds me tired and I know many of you reading this can relate. What we have to realize, we wouldn’t have it any other way. We love hearing, “this is so delicious or good” and we love having someone see our decorations and add their compliments. This is why we exhaust ourselves and it is such a good feeling, it washes out the fatigue. Now back to the original meaning of this message…..Do we give up or give in? If, today will all of the knowledge of how tired you are going to be, how you are not going to solve all of the problems of the world and even in families, would you give up? Not hardly, but I have a thought for all of us. If we give in to God and trust in Him that He will see us through the work, the stress, and bring us to the moment of joy of Christmas, this can be the best time of the year. Have a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year! I am going to post around the first of the year but now, it is time for this blogger to get moving for the celebration of baby Jesus’s birth!
DAILY FEATURED BIBLE VERSE:
Philippians 4:12-13
I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
