TODAY THE WORDS ARE HASHTAGS SHOT MY BULLETPOINTS

TODAY THE WORDS are HASHTAGS SHOT MY BULLETPOINTS. I am sure many of you are wondering, as my Mother used to say, “What in the world?” Yesterday, I had a request for a bullet point sheet of the project I have been working and I realized this phrase is dwindling away and readily being replaced by #hash tag everything. I saw a commercial and it was based on hash tag this, and hash tag that, and hash tag, hash tag and it became clear to me. We are becoming a hash tag nation. Some of you who haven’t ventured into the twitter world may be a little lost with this message so allow me to help all of you who are where I was a short time ago. Hash tag represented by the # sign is a method in the social media world of twitter for people to “search” for subjects as #blog; #humor; #health; etc. When I place my blog on Twitter or other social medias, I place several “search” hash tags to draw more traffic and allow my blog to be seen by more people. Bullet points are a great way to get a lot of thought in a short amount of space. So it revealed a little more about our world and this brings me to the “hash tag” of the day or #deeper thought…..
.It is a sign of the times when bullet points have been “shot down” by an even faster form of communication. What happened to the simpler times; the swings on the front porch; the long walks on the beach; the hikes up the mountains; the visits to the countryside, etc. I know some people who are still participating in these activities and these are the ones who are happily reporting the good times. If we continue to speed toward eliminating true communication, we may miss the true hash tag of life which is #love. Slow down a little to allow someone to find you interesting for all of your talents, spirit, personality, without having to be described simply by a hash tag.
DAILY FEATURED BIBLE VERSE:
Ephesians 5:15-17 ESV
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
