TODAY THE WORD is DRAMA.  I have always been intrigued by drama on television, books, or in the movies and try my hardest to figure out “who dun it”. Life however, is another reality; I have an aversion to drama or “victimitis” as I call it. Drama to me is wasted energy and if the person spending so much valuable time telling their “victim story” spent as much time solving the situation; the world would benefit immeasurably. It is so cute when a child is in a play being totally animated while emerged in character. It is not as entertaining when it is an adult trying to convince anyone who will listen how the world has mistreated them. This may seem negative and I am usually positive, but that is the reason for this message. I love being a positive person and I practice seeing the bright, sunny side of the street. I thrive on goals, achievements, adventures, challenges, and yes even things that push my button. All of these projects or events keep us on our toes, challenge our intelligence and gives us plenty of reasons to thank Our Maker for the opportunities of life. We gain strength by those same challenges the victims base their stories upon. When I interview a possible candidate for employment, and I say this every time…I do not like drama and my philosophy is “Leave your drama with your pajama”. This usually brings a smile, but a followup conversation which sets the stage for a good working atmosphere. Children which are allowed to throw temper tantrums are trying out for “their drama roles” and it is up to the parent directors to guide them in a different direction. Positive recognition for accomplishments is a way to change direction by applauding good and positive actions and not playing into the “drama”. Now, for the deeper thought…..Life is never fair but how we react to life’s normal events is the determining factor of how our lives turn out. If we look around, and I can say this respectfully to the true “Jobs” of the world who have their plates loaded with trials and tribulations. we can see someone in a less favorable situation than any we have ever been exposed. Please read the scripture below and it dissolves the victim theory. I love the phrase, “If life throws you lemons, make lemonade”. I like to think a little further with this phrase of “sugar added helps the taste”. If we take a positive attitude and lose the drama; we add the sugar to life and it takes away the bitterness of the lemons. Smiling is healthy and we all want good health; Smile today!

Ezekiel 18:20
The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.
