TODAY THE WORDS are WHY ISN’T YOUR RESPONSIBILITY? I can see many of my friends who realize how out spoken I am saying, “Oh no, here she goes again.” My thoughts are not so critically aimed but more in the line of thought provocation. I am going to throw out some scenarios and if you will give each one some thought as to who should be responsible in your mind, not mine and let’s see what and how we come out. It is a mental exercise and hopefully some people might understand what they have been thinking could benefit from further thought and actions.
1) It is not my responsibility to help support myself or my family. I leave that up to my husband or wife…Is it? Or is it as a family, should both people who benefit from the family assets produce their share to enable the family to have more; save more; have a good financial status; be able to educate their children; have a home; retire at the age of retirement; and have resources at retirement? YES or NO?
2) It is my husband or wife’s responsibility to maintain peace and harmony in the home. Or is it both the husband AND the wife to create an atmosphere of love and peace? Both spouses either create harmony and peace or do both of them disturb that harmony and peace? I saw the sign posted above and it says it all but does BOTH partners realize how important both contribute to creating a loving atmosphere in a home, YES or NO?
3) It is not my responsibility to be an example for my children. It is up to the Father or Mother to teach the children manners, respect, love, how adults should behave, how to clean and maintain a home, and how to study and learn. I can be their friend and leave all of the discipline to the other parent. Or is it a partnership where each parent shows how a lady should act and a man should act to each other therefore establishment of mutual respect? YES or NO?
4) It isn’t my responsibility to guide the children and/or my spouse to how our faith can supplement and enhance our family life and our personal lives. I leave that up to my husband or wife to handle all of that religious business. I don’t have to express how much love and blessings I have received from God. Or is it our individual and family responsibility to share our story and allow our children to derive their thoughts and feelings with a firm foundation of faith in the home they grow up? YES or NO?
Now for my deeper thought…..If we think it is the other person’s responsibility to handle everything and you are not responsible yourself……You have already stepped out of the partnership of a successful marriage…..If one partner has stepped out; it is no longer a partnership and the odds of failure have increased significantly…..If both partners share the responsibilities equally; they will usually share the benefits equally and thus significantly increasing the odds of success.
God who is our Eternal Partner gives His Part and He accepts His Responsibility to ALL of us; but what happens when we fail to accept OUR responsibilities and blame our life partners…What happens to our Partnership with God? Would it hold up in God’s Eyes? YES or NO?

Philippians 1:9-10
And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment,so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ
