TODAY THE WORDS ARE IN THE END OF DAYS

TODAY THE WORDS are END OF DAYS. When all of the trendy conversations concerning the Mayan calendar ending and people talking of the world ending filling the air ways, I thought I would share a few thoughts on the End of Days.

The scriptures have always referred to the end of days and earth’s destruction, the rapture, and other events that I would rather focus my thoughts. The Mayans have one thing correct and it may not the be the date; it is the fact that life as we know it on earth will end. It may be natural death, a fatal accident or crime, or revelations are fulfilled. The biblical signs seem to be making their appearances in the last couple of years and it looks as if we are truly closer to what prophets have spoken before the end of time. We cannot watch the news without flinching and wondering what is next. If we study God’s word; we do know.

As a positive person and God blessed me to see the bright side of life so I am not thinking gloom and doom. I wrote on a post for people not to expect me to look worried. My time on this earth is temporary and whether it ends by a lucky guess by the Mayans, or it coincides with God’s plan of time served; I am looking forward to eternity. If I am blessed to be in Heaven on Christ’s birthday, I would be joining so many loved ones in the biggest and grandest celebration.

Now for the deeper thought (not that this is not deep)….are we listening to trendy talk,  laughing and making jokes about the Mayan prediction and avoiding the true prediction as written in the scriptures? We should not be in a place in our spirits that we do not rejoice at the mention of the rapture, the end of days, and even death. We place our hearts and souls in the salvation hands of Christ and we change how we look at these events. It is normal to not want to have our loved ones hurt by our departure, but if we have our souls committed to everlasting peace; our loved ones should be celebrating our victory over death. I realize that people believe differently and I respect their rights; but I know that I will see my loved ones again and we will be having a large homecoming party; whether it is tomorrow or years from now. Live life; love life; and live life to the fullest by knowing your eternal destination when it is over.

DAILY FEATURED BIBLE VERSE:

1 Corinthians 15:51–52

51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. sWe shall not all sleep, tbut we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For uthe trumpet will sound, and vthe dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.
