TODAY THE WORDS are TEACH THE WORLD TO SING

TODAY THE WORDS are TEACH THE WORLD TO SING. I had another topic in my mind and then I saw a post on Facebook from a lady who was offended by something and her statement brought this topic to the surface. She is a customer of a business and has patronized this business for years. Yesterday the owners of this business passed her by after she had spoken to them and it apparently hurt her feelings. This is how I responded to her post.
“I would like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony, but some people sing off key.” I even have trouble staying in the right key sometimes. I also responded that a current song by Taylor Swift, SHAKE IT OFF is a possible solution. We live in an imperfect world where people seem to be insensitive to others’ feelings and compassion may have been stored in the archives of humanity. The world has an opinion (I am included) and we seem willing to spout it out at any given opportunity. Is it necessary to give our opinion or express hurt we have experienced? I am not sure there is a perfect answer to this question.
I am reminded of the many cartoons which the wife is asking the husband “Am I fat?” or “Does this dress make me look fat?” or “Is she prettier than me?” and I can non equivalently state…….THERE IS NO RIGHT ANSWER  or AT LEAST NO TRUTHFUL ANSWER. If the dress actually makes the wife look fat or if she is actually fat; this is a no win situation. If the other person is truly prettier or just plain beautiful; it doesn’t matter how it is answered, the husband is going to lose if answered less than a miraculously stated answer.

Now for the deeper thought…..Disagreements or differences in opinions have been in existence probably even back to Eve asking Adam in the Garden of Eden, “does this fig leaf make me look fat?”and this will be happening at the end of time. This is because we are all unique. Maybe God decided to stir things up and not have life boring. It would be if we thought exactly alike and sing in perfect harmony. This said, we can use consideration as to what might be going on with the other person. They may be having a horrible day and it might work out better to “give one for the team” and Shake it Off! Live Life; Love Life; and Live Life to the fullest by living; loving; and forgiving.

DAILY FEATURED BIBLE VERSE:

Proverbs 2:2-5 ESV

Making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
