TODAY THE WORDS are DARE TO DREAM AND DREAM TO DARE. Some of you who keep up with my coming and going have known I have written a novel. I started this novel years ago but with my work schedule I only wrote on it in spurts when I had time. It was something I dreamed of doing when I was very young…I wanted to write a book and I kept saying, “One day I will write a book”. A little over a year ago, I went part time to finish the novel and if nothing else say I did it; I wrote a book. It is being read in “a blind read” which I find amusing every time I say it. Two readers have completed reading it and I am excited to hear from the other three readers. The first two have put me over the moon as the “read” consists of different ages, genders, and genre readers. All of this excitement has ignited the topic of DARE TO DREAM AND DREAM TO DARE. 

This topic is not to boast because I could write this about several people I know who are higher in the daring and dreaming levels in their lives but I am willing to share some adventures or misadventures as some might think I have had in my life. As a child, I challenged everything. If I could twirl one baton why not two? If I could read a 300 page book fast, how fast could I read a 500 page book? If they offered a position as a manager in telephone sales when I was only 19 years old to supervise women who had been there over 15 years average and were twice my age, what could I do to make this department better for them as well as the company? If my husband was going to Germany, why not follow him and live out on the economy with German people who spoke very little English and not learn German? You don’t think I was planning on staying quiet for 18 months, did  you? If men were predominately in Insurance, Auto Sales, Finance and Insurance, what would hurt me trying those fields and being very successful in them? If someone who owns a decorating business and offers to sell it to me to do what I loved doing, why not buy it and turn it into a successful business? And then to top it off, have an offer to start an office for Durable Medical Equipment when I can hardly pronounce some of the medical terms, but Greg and I not only left fields we knew a lot about jumped in and developed a thriving top office in the company. Can I build a web site? I can learn and now several behind me. Oh yeah, I will say starting a blog when I wasn’t sure what a blog really was has been an adventure and I can add a novel as well as some other adventures not ready to disclose.

Again, this is not to brag or boast but to say I was blessed with a spirit to DARE TO DREAM AND DREAM TO DARE. My point is I am a small town girl without a high education. I came from an average home of hardworking parents. I had a good childhood but it wasn’t stress free and learned to work for what I wanted in life. What is the most important blessing is I was created by God who gives all of us opportunities to strive and thrive in life if we dare to dream and have the courage to try our wings. I have already lived a great life and God willing, I may add a few more things on my list of things to do. LIVE LIFE, LOVE LIFE, and LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST by using all of the gifts and talents God gave you. While you are living life up; send your prayers of thanks up too!
